Print Link Difficulties

Hi new blog followers!  I seem to be having some technical difficulties with the print link I embedded within the post.  I will try to fix it later this evening and will hopefully have it fixed by tomorrow morning.  In the meantime, I suppose you can print what you need using your regular print command and just highlight the parts that you want to print.  Having the print link is supposed to make that easier, but somehow it's not working the way it's supposed to!  Gotta love technology!

  1. This is John, Jill's Technical Support. The code behind the Print icon doesn't work quite like we thought it would. We are looking into alternatives, but in the meantime here's a workaround that should let you do what you want.

When you find one of Jill's posts that you would like to print, move your mouse up to the top of your browser and select the whole URL. It's the string of letters, numbers, and symbols next to the Blogspot 'B' that starts with 'http'. Copy the URL to the clipboard. (In Windows, either right-click and select "Copy" or hit Control-C.)

Then click on the Print icon in Jill's post. A new webpage will open up with a field labled "Make any web page print friendly" and labeled with "enter a url". Paste the URL you copied before into that field. (In Windows, right-click in the field and select "Paste" or click in the field and hit Control-V.) Then click "Print Preview." A printer-friendly version of Jill's post will appear that you can send to your printer or print to your computer as PDF.

You can do something similar with an iPad and careful finger positioning. I'm not sure how to do it on a BlackBerry, or Android phone.

We know this is more complicated than ideal and will look into other ways to do let you print Jill's posts, but hopefully this will tide you over for a few days.
